About Us

Chinook Bone and Joint Clinic (CBJC) has been providing hip and knee osteoarthritis care based on a collaborative, patient centered model since its inception in 2014. Originally established solely as a central intake clinic with only a computer and a fax machine, our services have expanded over the past decade to include referral intake and surgeon-led MSK screening assessments, preoperative assessment and teaching, and post-op appointments and support.

The team at CBJC collaborates with the surgeons’ offices and primary care to encourage timely and quality care for patients with hip and knee OA. Decisions surrounding patient care are guided by the Alberta Hip & Knee Surgical Care Path and Measurement Framework. CBJC works closely with Alberta Health Services, the Alberta Bone and Joint Health Institute, and the Bone and Joint Health Strategic Clinical Network to provide this care.
